2009 Lemon Heaven Convention Pics

The Lemon Heaven 2009 Convention Was Held At Bally's.

Here Is What You Missed In Vegas!

We had great meetings with important input and ideas from all that attended, despite the extremely long and late hours "networking". We all met at the suite on Thursday evening and some had even come in earlier for some sight seeing. After a late night on Thursday we started our sessions bright and early Friday morning and after explaining our corporate objectives for 2010 we awarded Rob & Sandy Strelioff (Winnipeg) The Franchisee Of The Year Award.

Ours sessions were very productive and included the intricate workings of our operations and supply streams.

We established the new FAC (Franchisee Advisory Council) and appointed willing officers Wayne Carson as President, Rob Strelioff as Vice President and Nate Simpson as Secretary for the new FAC.

We talked about their role and responsibilities. We also established a convention committee to organize the next convention. The convention committee is comprised of Lana Stuhr, Susan Milord, Sandy Strelioff and Maxine Ashford. Everyone brought forth great ideas and together we addressed the issues we all face.

Over the two full days of meetings we covered many different topics but equally important and fun were the relationships that were formed and re-enforced every evening. Quite often we found ourselves at the center bar at the Paris.

Many people stayed for all or part of the IAFE convention which kicked off with the golf tournament on the Sunday.

Team Lemon Heaven came to conquer but fell short with a respectible -11 score.

We did not come away empty handed though thanks to an unbelievable tee shot from Charles Ashford that was good enough for "closest to the pin".

Organizers were so impressed with the play of Wayne Carson that they gave him a new golf bag and put him on the cover of Woods & Irons Magazine.

We all had a great time and met everyone back at the hotel for more "networking" at the center bar.

In some instances we were able to actually network with key people. Below is Rob chatting with the CEO of the Red River Exhibition in Winnipeg. Introduced by Maxine who is now best buddies with his wife.

The IAFE convention had some great seminars that allows the vendors to keep their fingers on the pulse of the industry. The tradeshow floor had all kinds of interesting products, entertainers and characters. Mirjam had quite the admirer in the robot below.

In vegas all roads lead back to the bar and the tradeshow floor was a great place to grab a few beers and of course to "network" some more.

All in all great friendships were formed and reinforced, and everyone left Vegas with important imput from all franchise partners. The 2010 convention in beautiful Vancouver, BC (home of the 2010 Olympics) promisies to be the best yet. Each year we have an after party somewhere in an area close by where everyone can unwind, sight see and enjoy some team building activities such as ATV tours, hiking, whale watching etc. 2010 after party is yet to be determined (Whistler or Victoria is an option).
